Sportradar and Tennis Data Innovations (TDI) Join Forces to Enhance Tennis Experience
In an effort to expand its international data and streaming capabilities, Sportradar has announced a partnership with Tennis Data Innovations (TDI), a joint venture between the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and ATP Media.
Through this long-term agreement, Sportradar will gain access to data and the rights to stream all ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour tennis matches, with a focus on wagering and media data rights. This collaboration is expected to lead to increased revenue and enhanced fan engagement opportunities.
Sportradar plans to leverage its suite of ATP solutions to provide tennis enthusiasts with an enriched experience, offering improved products and services such as expanded streaming, advanced in-play wagering opportunities, and customized betting products.
Additionally, Sportradar will work with TDI to develop media-related products and will utilize its OTT platform to live stream ATP Challenger Tour matches on ATP’s Challenger TV. A Tennis Innovation Lab will also be established to explore various possibilities.
As part of the partnership, Sportradar will launch Integrity Services for all tennis events in order to identify and safeguard against potential threats such as match fixing and other malpractices.
David Lampitt, CEO of TDI, expressed his support for the partnership, emphasizing its potential to create new global opportunities and benefit all parties involved. He also highlighted that innovative technologies will be deployed as a result of the collaboration with Sportradar.
Carsten Koerl, CEO of Sportradar, shared that the organization plans to harness the power of computer vision and artificial intelligence to develop new products and services. He believes that these enhanced capabilities will contribute to increased revenue and attract a larger audience of tennis enthusiasts.
