The President of Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort has announced the official opening of the first stage of the resort as the first real “entertainment resort in Asia.” The soft opening is set for November 30 and will include three hotel towers with 1,275 rooms, the first-ever multi-purpose arena in South Korea, and MICE establishments with the biggest ballroom in the country, as well as a modern digital entertainment street called Aurora and signature restaurants.
The resort’s motto “Inspiring Worlds, Inspiring People” aims to set a new standard for entertainment resorts in the country, offering a unique experience to guests of all nationalities and generations. The plan is to open the whole resort in phases by the end of the first half of next year.
Mohegan Management Board and Mohegan Tribe President, James Gessner Jr., called the occasion “momentous,” marking a historic partnership for the tribe. He expressed gratitude to the Korean government for their support and emphasized the resort’s commitment to the local and regional economies.
The upcoming soft opening will feature a high-end hotel with three uniquely themed towers, a multi-use interior performance hall, a digital entertainment street, an indoor glass-domed water park, and over 10 restaurants. Mohegan President and CEO, Ray Pineault, expressed the significance of the resort’s global impact and the opportunity to share Mohegan’s legacy and spirit with the world.
Following the soft opening, more establishments like an integrated aesthetic space, a global food restaurant, an exhibition center, and a children’s playground are set to open in the coming years. President Chen Si expressed delight at reaching such a major milestone and expressed gratitude to the Korean government and local communities for their support.
To celebrate the soft opening and the holiday season, INSPIRE will offer a range of festive food and beverages as well as accommodation packages. Online promotions and social media campaigns are underway to build anticipation and engage potential guests ahead of the opening.
A “Book Now” digital campaign will launch on November 29 to coincide with the opening of hotel bookings. A video teaser campaign was also launched via digital media channels to showcase INSPIRE to potential guests. More campaigns are set to debut next month to further increase brand awareness.
