Circa Sports, a well-known sports betting operator based in Las Vegas, is set to take over the business of the sports betting operation at the Silverton Casino Lodge. An interim location is scheduled to officially open on January 1, with the newly renovated permanent location set to open in March 2024. The new 1600-square-foot sportsbook will be located beside the resort’s parking garage.
While the renovations are underway, Circa Sports will operate at an interim location beside the Shady Grove Bar and Lounge, offering 2 self-service wagering kiosks, 2 wagering windows, and 4 screens showing odds. The bar next door will also provide access to watch the biggest games of the day.
The Nevada Gaming Commission recently validated Circa’s bid to manage a satellite sportsbook at the Silverton. Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa Sports, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “As a Vegas-born venture, Circa Sports is thrilled to be working with a beloved local property like Silverton to launch our first southwest Las Vegas book.”
Once the renovations are complete, the refurbished sportsbook will offer a Daktronics screen for bettors, a variety of seating options, self-service betting kiosks, wagering windows, bar-top games, betting sheet racks, and odds boards. Rob Kunkle, president of Silverton Casino, expressed his enthusiasm for the new sportsbook, stating, “We are thrilled for Circa Sports to launch their best-in-class sportsbook at Silverton.”
Designated parking spots in the Silverton’s parking garage will be available for Circa Sports bettors. The sportsbook will tentatively be open from 8 AM to 10 PM per day, with possible additional hours during peak demand days.
In addition to the sportsbook renovations, Silverton recently underwent a $40 million refurbishment of the lodge rooms, with plans to open a $10 million courtyard and pool renovation in the early part of the next year, featuring cabanas, fire pits, poolside dining, and sports and movies at the pool.
