Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, the renowned gaming and entertainment brand based in Connecticut, has announced some major changes to its leadership team. Joffre Wells has been named as the company’s new VP of Capital Markets, Investor Relations, and Corporate Treasurer. Wells brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked for Brandywine Global and BlackRock, as well as holding multiple degrees in finance and management. His expertise will be instrumental in managing the capital planning of the firm, as well as building strong banking and investor relationships.
In addition to Wells’ appointment, two long-time employees, Kelly Sullivan and Kelly Leung, have been promoted to the firm’s Leadership team. Leung, who will now serve as Senior Vice President of International Marketing, has been a key part of Mohegan Sun’s Asian Marketing efforts and will now expand his responsibilities to the firm’s global portfolio. Sullivan, on the other hand, has had a long and successful career at Mohegan, starting as the Director of Career and Leadership Development for the Mohegan Tribe, and rising to Director of Global People Operations.
Mohegan’s President & CEO, Ray Pineault, commented on the promotions, expressing his excitement and confidence in the leadership team. He stated that the new appointments come at a positive time for the firm, which recently expanded globally with the soft opening of Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort. The firm is looking forward to the future as it continues to grow as a premier operator of integrated entertainment resorts.
Overall, the promotions and the new addition to the leadership team represent a significant step forward for Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment as it continues to position itself as a major player in the global gaming and entertainment industry.
